Our COVID-19 Emergency Tenand Based Rental Assistance (TBRA) provides Financial assistance to current low income renters that owe rent due to loss of income or employment as a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Programs shall be self-supporting to the maximum extent feasible. Tenant self-sufficiency and responsibility shall be encouraged.
Priority shall be given to working families, seniors, and the disabled. Our Mission To provide affordable, well-maintained rental housing to qualified low and very low-income families. Reasonable accommodations may be requested from our staff, and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. We also own or manage some individual subsidized rental complexes that do not fall under the previous categories, and we have information about other affordable housing that is available in Tulare County. We offer many different programs, including the conventional public housing program, the housing choice voucher program, the farm labor program for families with farm labor income, senior housing programs, and other housing programs. The Housing Authority of the County of Tulare provides rental assistance to very low and moderate-income families, seniors and the handicapped throughout the county.
